Local Culture
Locals love the
Bondi to Bronte cliff walk, which can be extended to Coogee for the
more energetic.
Along the way
there are family beach destinations with BBQ areas, surf beaches,
fishing spots, snorkelling, as well as the cafes and Bondi markets.
Throughout the
year the area plays host to a number of special events. Occasions
like the Festival of the Winds held in September, the Coogee Fair
and the Sculptures by the Sea in October.
The area is
also famous for its many seaside pools. A great example of this
is the historic Wiley's Baths at the south end of Coogee, with its
restored sun decks and seaside café. For those who require
segregation, there is the women's only pool too.
